Audio Studio

  • Recording Your Recital

    Mannes will make audio recordings of student events held in Ernst C. Stiefel Concert Hall or Baisley Powell Elebash Recital Hall. In order to have your recital recorded ($55 for an audio recording on CD), you must pay the recording fee at least two weeks before the event.

    Step 1. Go to the Business Office with the date and time of your recital, and pay $55.  
    Step 2. When your payment is received, an audio engineer will be hired for your recital.  
    Step 3. Your recital will be recorded and a download link will be emailed to you several days after the concert. Please email Chris Hoffman with any questions.

    Recording Sessions

    Current Mannes students may reserve Ernst C. Stiefel Concert Hall or Baisley Powell Elebash Recital Hall during weekdays for a recording session, subject to availability. The fee is $30 per hour, with a two-hour minimum. The Audio Studio requires that you make the arrangements at least two weeks in advance. If time is available, you may reserve more than one session.

    Step 1. Email mannesconcerts@newschool.edu or call 212.580.0210 x4831 (Monday-Friday, 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.) to reserve a time. 
    Step 2. Go directly to the Business Office and pay for the session. When the fee has been paid, an engineer will be hired for the session.    
    Step 3. Your recording session will be uploaded and a download link will be emailed to you following the session. Please email Chris Hoffman with any question
