Getting Started

To make the most of your study abroad experience, take time to prepare yourself academically and personally. It’s never too early to begin this process; consult our suggestions for preparation, based on your class year.

Choosing and applying to programs will be a self-directed process, but administrative support and guidance is available. Meet with the Study Abroad advisor during the early stages of your planning. You can work together to match study abroad programs with your educational and personal goals, and explore scholarship and financial aid opportunities as well.

Our study abroad procedures guide has been created to help you:

  • Determine your eligibility
  • Identify and apply to programs
  • Prepare for your departure
  • Make the transition back to Lang while abroad
