In order to approve a student for graduation, the registrar conducts an audit of all the degree requirements fulfilled. As a transfer student, you should schedule an appointment with your advisor for a preliminary audit of your academic progress and to ensure your degree requirements are satisfied. During these appointments, we review your academic transcript for general education, major/interdisciplinary program, and residency requirements. These include:
- Minimum 120 total credits toward the degree, with at least 90 credits in liberal arts
- Minimum credits in residence at Lang, prorated for transfer students
- All requirements for the declared area of interest, including the Senior Experience
Confirm that transfer or examination credits have been awarded properly by viewing your unofficial transcript in MyNewSchool. If you notice any discrepancies in your transcript, please contact your academic advisor for assistance.
