First Semester Registration
Due to admissions timing, transfer students usually register for their first semester after other students. Group advising and registration is scheduled during orientation week. This may result in particular courses being closed for enrollment, including at least some of your first choices. This situation only applies to your first semester. After transfer credits have been applied to your transcript, you will register for future semesters on time (based on your class standing), and be given a more desirable registration date and preference in obtaining the classes of most interest to you.
Students who have received their acceptance offer AND their Transfer Credit Evaluation (TCE) can make an appointment with an advisor during the summer to discuss any questions that they may have. Please note that approved transfer courses count toward general credit requirements only and are not applied toward the requirements in a particular major/interdisciplinary program. To have transfer credits accepted for specific requirements, you must consult with the chairperson from the appropriate area of study.
