• International Education Week

    November 17–21, 2014

International Student Services participates in International Student Week (IEW), an initiative developed by the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education to promote programs that prepare Americans for leadership in the global economy and attract future leaders from abroad to study, learn, and share their experiences in the United States.

    IEW Photo Contest

The most popular International Education Week event at The New School is the photo contest. The theme of the contest is travel in the United States and abroad. Students, faculty, and staff submit photos of people, places, and things relating to world travel. During IEW, students vote for their favorite pictures at ballot boxes set up on campus and online. At the end of the week, an awards ceremony is held to honor the favorites and showcase all the photos submitted to the contest.
