Profile:Bill Kirchner is an award-winning musician who has received Grammy, NAIRD Indie, and Jazz Journalists Association awards. He is leader of the Bill Kirchner Nonet and Trio. He has been named as “Talent Deserving Wider Recognition—Arranger” in eight DownBeat International Critics polls. Kirchner is a producer and annotator of new and reissued recordings for many labels. He is a frequent host of Jazz From The Archives on WBGO-FM.
