Audition Workshops/Information Sessions
The New School for Drama hosts Audition Workshops/Information Sessions in several cities across the United States and sometimes in other countries. These are unique opportunities to work with members of our faculty and distinguished local guests. The audition workshop is two hours long. Please arrive on time. Come prepared to audition a monologue or short scene (bring a scene partner). Our coaches will discuss monologue choices, training and technique, and their own professional experiences. You'll learn what it takes to get into a graduate dramatic arts program like The New School for Drama, and some tips about choosing the right one for you.
Applicants are invited to audition based on review of their applications by the admission committee. Audition dates are announced in the fall. Auditions usually take place in the following cities:
