Liz Flahive's plays have been produced and developed at Manhattan Theater Club, Ars Nova, The Sundance Theater Institute at Ucross, Naked Angels, The Keen Company and Williamstown Theater Festival. Her first play, From Up Here (MTC in association with Ars Nova) won the John Gassner Playwriting Award from the Outer Critics Circle. From Up Here was also nominated for an Outer Critics Circle Award for Outstanding New Off-Broadway Play and a Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Play. Liz's plays have been published by Samuel French and Playscripts. Liz is a founding member of Ars Nova's Playgroup. She is a longtime volunteer with The 52nd Street Project, an organization that pairs inner city kids with professional theater artists to create original theater. She is currently a writer on Showtime's Emmy nominated Nurse Jackie.
