Mr. Capalbo began at the New School for Drama in the fall of 2007. Prior to joining the NSD staff, he spent nine years servicing the production needs for nearly 1500 productions and events in a variety of disciplines ranging from classical music; theatrical production; and corporate events and lectures; to private dinners onstage; dance, pop, rock and hip-hop concerts; and comedy acts for world renowned performing arts facilities such as: Lincoln Center Concert Hall (Avery Fisher Hall, Alice Tully Hall, Damrosch Park, Lincoln Center Plaza, The Kaplan Penthouse), New Jersey Performing Arts Center (Prudential Hall, Victoria Theater, Lucent Center Theater, The Chase Room), as well as Montclair State University’s Performing Arts Venues (Memorial Auditorium, L. Howard Fox Studio Theater, Alexander Kasser Theater.) In addition to teaching three courses at The New School for Drama, Mr. Capalbo has taught for Montclair State University’s Department of Theatre and Dance, George Street Playhouse’s Education and Outreach Program, and NJPAC’s Artist in Residence Program having created NJPAC’s first Production Residency. Mr. Capalbo holds a BFA degree in Theatre from Montclair State University and is currently pursuing a degree in Interior Design at Parsons: The New School for Design, School of Constructed Environments.
