Production Manager

Karen has been an active member of the New York City theater community since 2006 as a production manager, technical director, master electrician and lighting designer.  Most recently, she served as technical director for Jay Scheib’s Platonov at The Kitchen, and as a production manager for the River to River Festival.  

In addition to her theater work, Karen has been involved in the world of large-scale events for several years, project managing a sneaker release party for Converse and a fashion show after-party for Alexander Wang, serving as overnight production manager for the VH1 European Music Awards on-board The Intrepid, and interning with Production Glue for a variety of events, including The CW 2011 Upfront featuring LMFAO.  Originally from upstate New York, she holds a BA in Theater Performance from SUNY New Paltz, and an MFA in Technical Design and Production from Yale School of Drama, where her thesis was titled “A Code Compliance Handbook for Small Theaters in New York City”.
