The New School Facilities Management is responsible for maintaining and operating the buildings on campus. Facilities Management is dedicated to excellent customer service in all aspects of its operations. We invite feedback and suggestions from all members of the university community that will help us make The New School campus beautiful, safe, and sustainable.
Facilities Management operates an
online work order system. Anyone with a New School e-mail address has access to submit work requests.
IT/AV services cannot be requested using this form. All IT/AV requests should be submitted through the MyNewSchool web page using the Services tab.

The New School's
Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) office within Facilities Management is responsible for regulatory compliance for worker safety and environmental protection. Responsibilities include chemical safety, EPA-regulated wast management practices, ergonomic guidelines, and safety awareness campaigns.
The New School is committed to
sustainability in all aspects of building operations, especially reduction of water and energy consumption and increased efforts in recycling and composting solid waste. We are actualizing the university’s ongoing promise to reduce its carbon footprint. We played a key role in The New School’s successful participation in the
American College and University Presidents’ Climate Commitment and the (NYC) Mayor’s Challenge to Universities.
