Alumni cards are issued to graduates who have completed credited associate's, bachelor's, master's and PhD programs at The New School. Your alumni card provides free admission for most New School programs, as well as access to spaces on campus, including libraries and the University Center café in the Bernard and Irene Schwartz Commons. Continuing Education and Alumni Relations have teamed up to offer New School alumni a 25 percent discount on noncredit Continuing Education courses. Beginning summer 2015, alumni are eligible to receive the discount, by completing the Continuing Education Alumni Discount Code Request form. Your personal discount code will be emailed to you within two business days. You can use your code yourself or share it with a friend or family member. Please note that classes to which this discount is applied can only be dropped in person, at the office of the University Registrar. The code must be used at registration and cannot be applied retroactively. Restrictions apply. Valid only on noncredit courses. Not valid on closed or waitlisted courses. Cannot be used towards completion of a certificate program. Cannot be used in combination with other offers. A $7 registration fee applies to all online registrations. The Offices of Admission and Alumni Engagement have teamed up to offer New School alumni an opportunity to help us identify the best and brightest prospective students. Alumni are invited to submit the names of up to four prospective students they think would thrive in one of The New School's degree programs. The Office of Admission will send these students application materials and inform them that if they choose to apply, the application fee will be waived thanks to their nomination by an alumnus or alumna.

Offered by the Milano School of International Affairs, Management, and Urban Policy, these professional development programs give you the skills you need to advance your career.
This offer is being made exclusively to all conferred alumni who hold a master's degree from The New School or another accredited university. In addition to receiving the discount, you will have your application fee waived and the admission process streamlined. New students are admitted in both the fall and the spring semesters.
Alumni are eligible for a 10 percent tuition discount on the new Harm Reduction Psychotherapy Certificate Program. The certification is being provided by the Department of Psychology in the New School for Social Research. Classes for this program will be co-taught by Dr. Andrew Tatarsky and Dr. Jenifer Talley, founder/director and assistant director, respectively, at The Center for Optimal Living, an outpatient treatment and professional training center in New York City using methods based on IHRP.
The program has been designed for professionals with a degree in psychology, social work, or medicine or students who have completed at least one year in a doctoral program in clinical psychology or finished The New School’s MA program in Mental Health and Substance Abuse Counseling.

The New School has a limited number of guest passes for alumni to the Museum of Modern Art available on a first-come, first-served basis. Each pass is valid for one complimentary general admission during regular public hours. There is a limit of one pass per year per member. If you would like to obtain a pass, email your name and preferred mailing address to firstname.lastname@example.org and specify that you are requesting a MoMA guest pass.

New School public programs are opportunities for continued learning and a way to maintain a connection with your alma mater. Admission to most public programs is free for alumni with an alumni card. To see a calendar of upcoming public programs, go to University Events.
Alumni who have received a degree or diploma from The New School, including a postgraduate certificate from Milano or a certification of graduation from Parsons, are entitled to reading privileges in school libraries with an alumni card. (This privilege does not extend to NYU's Bobst Library or other consortium libraries.) Visit New School Libraries for more information about campus libraries and library services. As of May 2014, graduating students will be able to retain in perpetuity the New School email address they use as students. Email addresses will remain in the format of firstname.lastname@example.org. In order to avoid being temporarily locked out of their accounts, alumni must log in to their email account at least once every six months. In addition, New School Google Apps will remain available for alumni. Alumni will also continue to have access to the New School wireless network.
Alumni who graduated before 2011 can request an alumni email account online.
Alumni have free wireless access everywhere on the New School campus. Log on to the network "newschool-alumni" using your Net ID as your username and your MyNewSchool password as your wireless password.
