Open House

The Admission Office at Eugene Lang College invites you to its annual Open House on Sunday, October 25, 2009. This half-day program for prospective students and their parents gives you the opportunity to learn more about academics, student life, admission, and financial aid at Lang. Students attend a mock Lang seminar facilitated by current faculty. Breakfast, tours of campus, and a student life reception are included in the program. Please use this website to register and be sure to include an active email account as all confirmation materials will be sent to the email address provided on the following registration page. We look forward to seeing you on campus.

Campus Tours

We offer student-led informational walking tours Monday through Thursday throughout the summer. Tours are a great way to learn more about Eugene Lang College, the campus, student life, academics, and the admissions process. Informational walking tours are one hour long and blend a campus tour with an information session. All interested students should register in advance to ensure your spot on a tour and call the Office of Admission at least two days prior to the tour date to confirm registration.

Interviews

Interviews provide an opportunity to discuss your interests, academic background and reasons for considering Eugene Lang College. Prospective students will meet with a current Lang senior for approximately half an hour. All students should register in advance to ensure available space and call the Office of Admission at least two days prior to the tour date to confirm registration. Freshman applicants should complete their interviews no later than November 30, 2009 for Early Decision and February 12, 2010 for Regular Decision. Transfer applicants should complete their interview no later than November 30, 2009 for Spring 2010 semester and May 26, 2010 for the Fall 2010 semester.

Class Visits

We encourage you to experience seminar classes at Lang. Class visits are available for high school seniors during the regular academic semester. You can sample most first- and second-year level seminars. Please call Denise Rodriguez in the Office of Admission at 212.229.5665 at least two weeks in advance to arrange for a class visit.

School Group Visits

College counselors are encouraged to explore the website to learn more about Lang's academic programs, internships, and connections with New York City as well as the other New School divisions. Lang representatives may be in your area. If you would like more information, contact us to request a counselor packet.

Eugene Lang College also welcomes group visits from high schools and community-based organizations. To reserve a group tour, please contact Denise Rodriguez at 212.229.5665 or RodriguD@newschool.edu one month in advance of your planned visit date to ensure tour guide availability. Please note that at this time, Lang cannot accommodate groups of middle school-aged students.

Dance Applicants

Students interested in the dance program must apply to and be accepted to Eugene Lang College. An audition is required for admission into the dance program. Learn more about our dance program audition dates and dance open houses this fall.

Housing Tours

The New School maintains six residence halls, each one a mix of students from all of the university divisions. The office of Student Housing offers tours of individual dorms that are run separately from Campus Tours. Learn more about campus housing or see the dorm tour schedule.

If you have any questions about campus visits or the admissions process, we encourage you to contact the counselor from your area. We look forward to hearing from you.
