Students who want a strong liberal arts education but also are interested in a career in art and design or music have special opportunities at The New School. Eugene Lang College offers a five-year Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Fine Arts combined degree program with two other divisions of the university: Parsons The New School for Design and The New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music.

Applicants for a BA/BFA program must file the online admission application for the dual program. Applications are reviewed by a committee made up of admission staff from Lang, Parsons, and Jazz. Applicants to the BA/BFA program are considered separately for admission by both Eugene Lang College and Parsons or Jazz. It is possible to be accepted to only one school and not the dual degree program. Your admission letter will reflect the decision of both admission committees.
