In order to approve a student for graduation, the registrar conducts an audit of all the degree requirements fulfilled. As juniors, you should schedule an appointment with your advisor for an early audit of your academic progress to ensure the requirements of your degree program are satisfied on time. During these appointments, we review your academic transcript for general education, concentration, and residency requirements. These include:
- A minimum 120 total credits toward the degree, with at least 90 credits in liberal arts
- A minimum 88 credits in residence at Lang (prorated for transfer students)
- First Year Writing I and II (or equivalent transfer credit)
- All requirements for a declared concentration, including the senior experience
If you received transfer or examination credits, confirm all credits were awarded properly through your unofficial transcript in Self Service. If you notice any discrepancies in the transcript, please contact the junior class advisor for assistance with resolving the problem.
