Matt Kolbusz is a language educator, second language acquisition researcher, and former ad-tech account manager.
His areas of concentration in education include educational technology, curriculum development, socio- and neuro- linguistics, and second-language acquisition. Matt has extensive experience in developing receptive and productive skills for non-native speakers of English for social, academic, and professional success. He has created numerous successful frameworks to help students achieve their goals in various communicative contexts. Previously, he worked in client services in the advertising industry, where he brought real-life case studies and simulations into the classroom to prepare students for the business side of the creative arts.
He currently serves as an Associate Director in the English Language Studies department at Hudson County Community College, overseeing the disbursement of equity resources and providing high-quality academic education to immigrants pursuing careers in culinary arts, nursing, and STEM fields.
Matt holds an MA in TESOL from The New School and is currently pursuing an MA in Spanish from Idaho State University. He also has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Rider University. He has presented his pedagogical research at conferences such as New York State TESOL and the International Association of Teachers of English as a Foreign Language (IATEFL).
