    Fabiola Berdiel

    Profile

    Fabiola Berdiel is Associate Dean of Partnerships and Practice-based Learning at the Schools of Public Engagement (SPE). Her portfolio includes developing and leading the strategy for experiential learning and partnerships for the Schools of Public Engagement, connecting across the university, with universities in NYC, and to our international university and organizational partners. She holds a PhD in Public and Urban Policy from The New School. Her research interests include decolonial perspectives on urban citizenship, the public sphere, citizen engagement, in-betweenness, and Cuba. Fabiola Berdiel has worked and conducted field research in Argentina, Bosnia, Brazil, Colombia, Cuba, Ethiopia, Guatemala, India, Ireland, Israel, Kosovo, Mexico, Namibia, Nepal, Nicaragua, Puerto Rico, Senegal, Serbia, South Africa, Spain, Turkey, and Uganda.
