    Justin Kantor

    Profile

    Justin Kantor is co-founder and managing member of (Le) Poisson Rouge (LPR), a critically-acclaimed, multi-media performance space, art gallery, and cabaret in New York's Greenwich Village.  Justin is an active cellist who has performed with a diverse range of artists and ensembles from Ensemble LPR to Karen O.  He received the Distinguished Alumni Award from Manhattan School of Music in 2014 and ASCAP’s Victor Herbert Award in 2011.  Justin’s other entrepreneurial projects include an online venue database and booking application launching in Q1 of 2016.

    Justin is passionate about finding ways for musicians to further develop their careers and build audiences.  He is a faculty member at The New School’s Mannes Conservatory and has lectured at colleges including The Juilliard School, Manhattan School of Music, and New York University.  He is a resident of Red Hook, Brooklyn.
