Hannah Tamminen (she/her) is an actor and educator working across theatre, film, and television.
She has taught Acting, Voice & Speech, Movement, and Public Speaking at UC San Diego, Rider University, New York Film Academy, AMDA, and Princeton Adult School. She also works with individuals on presentation and delivery skills, audition preparation, and speech and accent coaching. She will serve as Voice & Text Director for the McCarter Theatre productions of I & You: The Musical (book by Lauren Gunderson, music and lyrics by Ari Afsar, directed by Sarah Rasmussen) as well as A Christmas Carol (adapted and directed by Lauren Keating, featuring Cameron Knight).
As an actor, her stage credits include Steppenwolf Theatre Company's Linda Vista and The Mystery of Love & Sex (Mark Taper Forum / Center Theatre Group), Legacy of Light (McCarter Theatre), Pericles (Target Margin Theater), It’s a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play (Ensemble Theatre Company in Santa Barbara), Richard II and The Merry Wives of Windsor (Kingsmen Shakespeare Festival), and Ether Dome (La Jolla Playhouse). Screen credits include NCIS: LA (CBS), Colony (USA), and the feature film ReEntry (dir. Brendan Choisnet).
She holds an MFA in Acting from the University of California, San Diego, and a BA in Theatre & English from Skidmore College. Hannah is a Certified Teacher of Knight-Thompson Speechwork and a member of the Voice and Speech Trainers Association (VASTA), AEA, and SAG-AFTRA.
