Stephanie Nadalo, Program Director
In this dynamic BFA program, you work with analog and digital media to become a transdisciplinary artist and designer addressing social and political issues in today's fast-changing world. Graduates pursue careers as artists, graphic designers, art directors, filmmakers, curators, entrepreneurs, and more. This program is designed specifically for Parsons Paris, where you benefit from a unique collaborative approach and have access to European art, culture, and critical discourse.
This program is unique to Parsons Paris. Parsons’ School of Art, Media, and Technology, based in New York City, offers related programs.
Your BFA begins with the first-year curriculum, which serves as the academic foundation for all undergraduate programs at Parsons Paris. You then focus on storytelling through experimentation with mixed media and explore the way audiences respond to your work through participatory engagement. Your studies conclude with a final research project, in which you integrate research, writing, and making and which is shared in a public exhibition.
Graduates of this program are well-rounded and possess the critical and technical tools needed to create a customized pathway to careers as artists, designers, curators, and entrepreneurs. Alumni work in diverse creative fields such as art direction, communication design, filmmaking, and related fields or go on to pursue graduate studies.
Courses, projects, and faculty at Parsons Paris are closely integrated with industry and external partners, enabling you to apply what you’ve learned in the classroom to real-world challenges in creative business, nonprofit, government, and technology sectors.
To facilitate your creative growth and experimentation across all disciplines, Parsons Paris offers access to academic resources such as on-campus making and project facilities, tech and fashion research labs, and The New School’s digital libraries and archives.
Parsons Paris offers a unique opportunity to study in two of the world’s most creative cities. Studying at our academic centers in both Paris and New York broadens your practice through studio and liberal arts courses on campus and applied, hands-on experiential learning off campus.
