Scholarships and Financial Aid

All need-based awards and federal student aid, including federal loans, are based on financial need as determined by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Any U.S. citizen or permanent resident who is a student in a degree-granting program should submit the FAFSA to be considered. The FAFSA must be renewed annually.

A number of scholarships have been established for liberal arts majors at The New School. Unless noted otherwise, students do not have to apply for these awards. They will automatically be considered once their financial aid eligibility has been established.
