Born and raised in Shanghai, Yanjia has been a challenger into the fashion industry, constantly working to her limits and propelling her ideas into her surroundings. Her motivations of learning and exploring has supported her through ups and downs as she navigates in a foreign environment and around unfamiliar personalities. She has participated in multiple facets of the industry, designing, marketing and modelling, and aspires to project creativity and nourishment unceasingly into the communal environment.

This collection aims to explore the liminal space between the realm of fiction and the tangible reality as embodied by uniforms. Uniforms exemplifies a set of social standards of their wearer's profession, and among them student uniforms proposes a long dialogue of enforcing communal values. Nonetheless the youth seems to remain unbounded, whatever they are wearing. Drawing inspiration from the evocative depictions found within 2D mediums, this collection seeks to overlay these reveries onto the corporeal fabric of student uniforms, for a fictional understanding of the real students.
