Murad Aliyev

Murad Aliyev, a multimedia artist born in Baku, Azerbaijan in 2002, was raised across Azerbaijan, Russia, Turkey, and Austria. Having gotten accustomed to changing environments rapidly through out his upbringing, Murad is extremely adaptable and always curious. His work challenges conventional understandings of time, space, and memory, drawing on his upbringing in a vagabond family and critiquing the cultures that have shaped his theory of knowledge. Inspired by Soviet monumentalist art and the Soviet avant-garde, Murad is determined to grow his own artistic practice, while also developing a career path in curation and design.
