Maryam Daneshvar (b.2001, Tehran, Iran) is an Iranian experimental filmmaker. Through film, 3D animation, and painting she explores the experience and complexities of a human living in the 21st century—themes such as identity and personal data usage by social media apps and everyday life. In That’s Meta she brings attention to the Meta’s data collection by recreating a parody version of popular anti-piracy advertising from 2007 titled “Piracy is a crime”. In "Dreams", a short film projection, she interviewed Parisians about their dreams and ambitions in life.

"The Lost Train" is a 3D animated short film about Maryam’s experiences feeling lost growing up. The main concept of The Train is based on a childhood memory of her getting lost on a train at the Tehran railway station. As her character looks for her mother, each cabin will represent a different part of her life in which she felt lost.
