Lucy Berry is an American born in Paris. Spending most of her childhood in New York City, Lucy is ambitious and creative. Lucy spent time living with her grandmother at a young age where she developed a passion for stories and other forms of creative expression. This major has allowed her to bring her creative outlook into a business context. In the future Lucy is excited to explore a creative role in the Luxury industry where she can apply her study of strategic management. In the more distant future, Lucy is interested in creating her own businesses derived from her artworks and artistic pursuits.
Berry-Tales
Inspired by Lucy's own experience, this thesis addresses the childhood loss of a parent or caregiver. The main focus of the research is on investigating the communication difficulties that may arise during periods of grief as well as developing ways to help young children process and express their feelings. The aim is to create a modular, personalized art object to help facilitate self-knowing and communication of difficult topics such as grief.
