Hailing from the small sun-kissed island of New Providence, (Nassau), located in the beautiful archipelagic nation of The Bahamas Deja Rolle has possessed an interest in travel and languages from a young age. Her insatiable thirst for languages led her to pursue studies in Spanish throughout primary and secondary school. To further nurture her interests, she decided to pursue tertiary education internationally in Toronto Canada at York University’s Glendon College which afforded her the opportunity to study French. In 2022 Deja graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree, (Honors), in Sociology and French.
Deja is ambitious, dedicated, passionate and persistent. Some of her hobbies include reading, photography, and she has a penchant for the arts. She is a creative writer, captivating speaker and has a keen eye for curating aesthetics. Deja would like to utilize her education by following a career path in fashion journalism, and fashion media which will allow her to do that which she is passionate about.

“You Wanna be on Top?” - Analysing the Glamorous Façade of the Modelling Industry in the Media observed and analysed how various phenomena are presented within the relationship between models and the fashion industry throughout various media platforms. This was done through the discourse analysis of two case studies: 1) The reality television show America’s Next Top Model and 2) the media coverage of the Victoria’s Secret Angels.
