Language Spoken: English, French, Turkish

Originally from Turkey, Beste embarked on a transformative journey to New York City in 2014. She discovered her calling in photography and the powerful language of visual communication from a young age, recognizing the limitations of verbal language in expressing complex thoughts and emotions. This epiphany led her to pursue a BFA degree in Photography at New York University, complemented by a minor in French Culture and Studies. As a trilingual visual communicator, Beste is deeply passionate about fashion advertising, magazine culture, and engaging in fashion research and curating projects, both in digital and print-based formats.<br />Immersed in diverse communities across three continents, she has gained enriching experiences and tackled challenging projects during her two-year MA in Fashion Studies at Parsons Paris. This program nurtured her adaptability and curiosity, encouraging her to embrace new perspectives in fashion and to immerse herself in multidisciplinary practices that intersect curating, art, fashion history, and criticism.<br />Her academic pursuits at Parsons Paris and New York University have been pivotal in equipping her with the skills necessary to craft narratives that transcend linguistic and cultural barriers. Driven by her passion for visual communication and brand culture in fashion, Beste aspires to become an Image or Art Director. She aims to elevate the role of imagery beyond mere aesthetics, integrating culture, innovation, and diversity in the fashion industry.

Fashion Studies (MA), 2024

This thesis presents an in-depth case study of Loewe's brand image evolution under the creative leadership of Jonathan Anderson. It examines the strategic reinvention of the brand through innovative collaborations, cultural initiatives, and imaginative campaigns that seamlessly blend craftsmanship with cultural content, all while infusing a distinct sense of playfulness. The study focuses on analyzing Loewe's diverse communication materials, exploring how elements such as emotion, novelty, artistry, and distinctiveness are leveraged as branding tools. By categorizing these attributes as "main themes,” this research aims to elucidate the multifaceted and authentic storytelling strategies that have been instrumental in preserving Loewe's cultural relevance. This approach provides a detailed and nuanced perspective on the brand's identity and image, exploring how Loewe has navigated its representation in the dynamic landscape of luxury fashion.
