Sarah Mullen

I am a transdisciplinary artist from Seoul, South Korea, exploring memory, identity, and nostalgia in my work. I am interested in how memories form, fade, and resurface, often in fragments rather than in a clear, linear way. My thesis project, Unveiled Reveries, is housed in a found dollhouse. Through mixed-media animation, photography, and found footage, I built a fragmentary narrative that reflects the disjointed nature of memory itself. The dollhouse serves as both a symbol of childhood imagination and a reminder of early socialization—how we learn to perform roles and navigate expectations from a young age. The work invites viewers to reflect on the parts of themselves they have outgrown, have forgotten, or are still learning to reclaim.
