Fashion Studies (MA)
Where were you born, and where did you grow up?
I was born and raised in Laguna Beach, California.
Have you done an internship? If so, where? What was your experience like?
For the past year, I have been interning with Byronesque, an Internet-based fashion brand that specializes in contemporary vintage fashion. Byronesque is a small business, so my experience has been very hands-on. My work varies from contemporary fashion history research and inventory management to more creative projects such as fashion editorial production and Paris Fashion Week projects. Before Byronesque, I interned during PFW for a few seasons, working with womenswear labels Altuzarra and Alessandra Rich.
How has Paris inspired you in your projects and classes?
Paris has been the most inspiring city. I moved here four years ago and I am still thoroughly inspired by the creativity and motivation that the city radiates. My MA Fashion Studies courses have also allowed me to experience all Paris has to offer. Our projects have granted us amazing opportunities collaborating with a number of French brands, museums, and creators.
What three words would you use to describe the Parsons Paris community?
Diverse, inspiring, and supportive.
