My thesis project, Lost on a Train, is a 3D animated short film based on a childhood memory of getting lost at the Tehran railway station. In the film, my character moves through a number of train cabins, each one representing a time in my life when I felt lost emotionally, mentally, or physically. The story centers on a search for my mother but also reflects a deeper search for clarity, connection, and self-understanding. By using animation, I was able to create a surreal, dreamlike space in which personal memories mix with broader questions about how we define ourselves in an increasingly complex world.
