Art, Media, and Technology (BFA)
I am an artist from Beirut, Lebanon, working in illustration and sculpture and with AI. My practice explores themes including memory, culture, trauma, and heritage, often blending traditional techniques with emerging technologies. I like to present my work as series or collections, incorporating an archival quality that invites viewers to slow down and explore layered meanings. Recently I’ve been especially interested in how technology and art intersect and what it means to create alongside machines.
My project Dreamscape Duet uses AI image generators to bring dreams to life through visual art. This piece started as a conversation—between me and the AI—and became an exploration of how artificial intelligence can help translate the subconscious into images. But it also raises questions: What does AI miss? Can it truly understand emotion, memory, or the surreal logic of dreams? Dreamscape Duet is both a collaboration with and a critique of the technology, celebrating the creative potential of new tools while questioning their limits.
