Where are you from, and where did you grow up?
I am from India but would describe myself as a global citizen, as I've lived in many countries such as Oman and now France.

What languages do you speak?
I am trilingual and can speak English, Hindi, and French.

How is your experience interning with Mastermind Magazine in Paris?
Interning with the fashion team of Mastermind Magazine has by far been the biggest learning experience for me. I had the opportunity to assist the team for a fashion spread for Vogue Paris in collaboration with fashion photographer David Sims. It was like a dream working at the French Vogue office and also learning about the hard work that goes on behind the fashion pages.

How does Paris inspire you in your work?
Paris has always been my inspiration in many ways. The city is the fashion capital of the world, home to Coco Chanel, Paul Poiret, Schiaparelli, and many more iconic fashion designers, as well as artists such as Vincent van Gogh. The Haussmann architecture and the picturesque corners of the city fuel my creative juices.

You received a research grant in the spring. What is the focus of your research?
I am producing a thesis on the digital marketing strategies of luxury fashion brands in the time of COVID-19. I am analyzing and researching the social media of luxury fashion conglomerates and studying the success of their online campaigns during a crisis. The research grant has been extremely helpful in enabling me to carry out my research smoothly.

Do you have a student job on campus?
I am working as the library assistant on campus, where I manage to read, research, and organize the school library.

Do you have hobbies?
I strongly believe in living a healthy and conscious lifestyle. I am passionate about health and wellness and often go for runs or do yoga in the beautiful gardens of Paris. Jardin des Tuileries and Jardin du Luxembourg are my favourites. I also love to paint; hence, whenever I get time, I paint acrylic on canvas.

What advice would you give incoming students?
First and foremost, enjoy your time in Paris. It's a beautiful city and has a lot to offer. Be a tourist, be curious, ask questions and don’t be afraid to be yourself.
