Mechanized Bodies

Art, Media, and Technology (BFA)

Joseph Anderson
Mechanized Bodies is an artistic exploration of the way we perceive ourselves and others in a post-industrial world. By using the media of photography and film, I create an experience that allows audience members to exercise their own capacities as viewers. Emphasizing the power of perception and offering space for viewers' autonomy, I invite my audience to contemplate the beauty of expressive movement. The shifting of still frames reminds viewers that film is an illusion, highlighting the importance of producing their own unique interpretations.
