My thesis exploration presents research using an art-based approach, aligning itself with two concepts: ecofeminism and hydrofeminism. I also examine Afrogallonism, a Ghanaian art movement, as a way to question the history of the yellow 20-liter jerrycan used in daily water collection. These jerrycans are both the source of ecological problems and an internationally recognized symbol and Afrotrope.
