Barbara Rudnik - DIY: Lockdown Wonderland
I am a multidisciplinary artist exploring the female body and its complexity. Over the past few years, I have studied the female form extensively, often also using my own body as a medium of artistic expression. The political situation in my home country, Poland, has also contributed to my strong interest in feminism, inspiring me to explore the hardships of being a woman in the 21st century. My project DIY: Lockdown Wonderland is an interactive installation archiving TikTok trends that during the outbreak of COVID-19 became an escape from the traumatic reality, transforming the uncertainty and mundanity of day-to-day life through the possibility of slowing down and focusing on self-care.
