Thesis Title: Noran Ageel
My thesis collection delves into Libya's captivating colonial past under Italian rule, exploring the fusion of traditional Libyan attire with Italian military uniforms. It's a vibrant celebration of how Libyan men, in their quest for identity, blended authenticity with modernity, forging new paths amidst convention.
Drawing inspiration from the lively hues and patterns of North African aesthetic, as well as the intricate designs and textiles found in domestic goods, the collection is a tapestry of rich cultural expression.
Crafting a recurring pattern in my collection, a striking motif takes flight – the graceful bird, a harbinger of solace and tranquility amidst life's whirlwind.
