Miki Omori is a Fashion Designer, born in Japan. After graduating in Apparel Design from Bunka Fashion College in Tokyo in 1995, Miki started her teaching career in Miyagi Bunka Fashion College in Sendai, Japan and spent five years as a professor. Miki moved to Paris in 2000 to study Fashion Design at Studio Berçot.
Following that Miki has spent the last twenty years cultivating professional experiences in Women’s Ready-to-Wear as a Designer for many prominent luxury houses including Balenciaga, under the direction of Nicolas Ghesquière, Lanvin, under the direction of Alber Elbaz, and Nina Ricci, under the direction of Peter Copping.
Miki moved to New York in 2015 to join Coach, as Senior Design Director, Women’s RTW, under the direction of Stuart Vevers. Miki led both Collection and Pre-Collection Women’s RTW Design Team. Miki has also lectured at The Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) and Parsons School of Design in New York, and Bunka Fashion College in Tokyo.
Miki has an endlessly creative mind, which she combines with an in-depth technical knowledge. Miki is extremely versatile in her work and capable of doing both tailoring and flou.
