Max Thomas Sanderson is a tailor and designer born in Australia.

He graduated from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (BA Fashion Design, First Class Honours) with focus on menswear. His graduate collection won second place in the Australian Fashion Foundation Graduate Prize sponsored by the Woolmark Company.

Following graduation, he worked in bespoke tailoring where he continued to hone his skills as a craftsman. Later he relocated to Paris to undertake his postgraduate studies, graduating from l’Institut Français de la Mode.

Alongside his role at Parsons Paris as Senior Faculty, Max Thomas Sanderson launched his eponymous brand in Paris, in 2022. His studio creates contemporary tailoring for private clients in Europe, Japan, Australia and the USA. His work is defined by a process-based practice focused on the creation of artisanal tailoring, defined by unique methods of cutting and hand sewing.
