Apply for Fall 2026 by our January 15 priority deadline. Take the next step into your future!

On this page you’ll find a checklist of required application materials for our Bachelor of Music programs, as well as specific instructions for students applying from international high schools or colleges, students whose native language is not English, transfer students, homeschooled students, and students seeking readmission.

Application Deadlines

Fall

  • Common Application Deadline: Extended to January 1
  • Prescreen Recording or Portfolio Deadline (Composition, Piano, and Voice applicants only): Extended to January 1
  • Final Audition Recording or Portfolio Deadline (for those not auditioning live): February 1

Live audition invitations will follow receipt of a complete application.

Spring

  • Common Application Deadline: Extended to December 1
  • Prescreen Recording or Portfolio Deadline (Composition, Piano, and Voice applicants only): Extended to November 1
  • Final Audition Recording Deadline (live auditions are not available for spring entry): November 1

FAFSA (U.S. Citizens and Eligible Non-citizens)
Fall Applicants: February 1
Spring Applicants: November 1

Although we strongly encourage all applicants to apply by or before these deadlines, we will accept applications and recorded auditions and portfolios on a rolling basis after the deadline if space allows. We encourage you to apply as soon as possible if that deadline has passed. Please email us at performingarts@newschool.edu with any questions.
