Located in the heart of Greenwich Village, the School of Jazz and Contemporary Music at The New School stands at the forefront of music education. A legendary faculty, along with students who are encouraged to pursue all musical genres, makes our program unlike any other in the world. New School Jazz alumni are among today’s top jazz stars and recording artists, including Roy Hargrove, Jazzmeia Horn, Brad Mehldau, Marcus Strickland, and Robert Glasper. In the contemporary music realm, a number of current students and alumni perform with GRAMMY Award-winning bands and artists such as Paul McCartney, Adele, Foo Fighters, Kendrick Lamar, Beyoncé, and David Crosby.

These achievements are possible because we are able to bring the most talented young artists to our school and offer them a supportive and nurturing environment and the best possible artistic and academic experience. None of this can happen without the help of friends and alumni who commit themselves and their resources to the school's future.

Please join us in our commitment to educate some of today's most promising musicians as they embark on the study of music that bridges cultures and history by making a donation to the School of Jazz and Contemporary Music's Annual Fund. In the words of All About Jazz, "[The] New School’s good for jazz; and it has been for a long time."

Very best regards,

Keller Coker, Dean
