Apply for Fall 2026 by our January 15 priority deadline. Take the next step into your future!

On this page you’ll find a checklist of required application materials for our Bachelor of Fine Arts program in Dramatic Arts, as well as specific instructions for students applying from international high schools or colleges, students whose native language is not English, transfer students, homeschooled students, and students seeking readmission. All required materials, including the Common Application and the Artist Portfolio, should be submitted by the stated deadlines.

Application Deadlines

Fall
Early Action Common Application and Artist Portfolio Deadline: extended to November 15
Regular Decision Common Application and Artist Portfolio Deadline: extended to March 1
Transfer Students Common Application and Artist Portfolio Deadline: March 1

Spring
Transfer Students Common Application and Artist Portfolio Deadline: Extended to November 1

Invitations for auditions and/or interviews will follow receipt of a complete application and Artist Portfolio. Available dates and details can be viewed on our Audition Schedule page.

FAFSA (U.S. Citizens and Eligible Non-citizens)
Fall Applicants: March 1
Spring Applicants: December 10

While we strongly encourage all applicants to apply by or before these deadlines, we will accept applications and portfolios on a rolling basis after the deadline if space allows. We encourage you to apply as soon as possible if that deadline has passed. Please email us at performingarts@newschool.edu with any questions.
