    Katia Lief

    Profile

    Katia Lief is the author of internationally bestselling crime novels including Five Days in Summer, One Cold Night and Here She Lies (NAL/Penguin). The fourth installment of her Karin Schaeffer series, The Money Kill (HarperCollins), was nominated for a Mary Higgins Clark award. Her short story “The Orchid Grower” was nominated for a Derringer Award. Most recently she published A Map of the Dark and Last Night (Mulholland/Little, Brown; pseudonymously as Karen Ellis). Invisible Woman (Grove Atlantic) publishes in early 2024.  Along with crime fiction, Katia has also published literary novels including Soul Cather and Peculiar Politics (Marion Boyars) and the novella The Beautiful Years (Kindle Single).  Her work has been called “riveting” (Publishers Weekly), “compelling” (Booklist) and “gorgeous, rich, contemplative” (Jodi Picoult).  For a complete list of publications, please visit katialief.com.
