Ian Scott Kettle is a new contemporary menswear accessories designer based in London.
Ian graduated from Central Saint Martins and the Royal College of Art. He has collaborated and worked with Alberta Ferretti, Erdem, Dexter Wong, Bruce Oldfield, Bora Aksu, Katherine Hamnett, and Joe Casely-Hayford. He has worked as a designer, illustrator and master pattern cutter. His work has been featured in Vogue, I.D., Nylon, Dazed & Confused, and 125 magazines. He has collaborated with Cindy Sherman and Michael Jackson and worked on multidisciplinary projects within fashion, art, and film.
A well-respected and inspiring teacher, Ian has taught fashion design at Central Saint Martins for the last twelve years, and is currently the course director of the Free Elective Study Abroad Fashion Programme. Ian lectures nationally and internationally on fashion design and has been instrumental in setting up and delivering courses in Mexico City, Buenos Aires, and China. He is currently developing a book on the process of design for fashion, due for publication early 2015, as well as acting as designer and director of his new accessories line created from his studio at Cockpit Arts, London.
