    Noelle Kocot-Tomblin

    Profile

    Noelle Kocot is the author of nine American books of poetry, most recently, Ascent of the Mothers (Wave Books 2023).  They are the author of six other books from Wave Books and two from Four Way Books.  They have published chapbooks in England, Ireland and Germany.  In 2011, they published Poet by Default, a book of translations of the poet Tristan Corbiere (Wave Books, 2011).  They also published a discography with Wave Books in 2010, entitled Damon's Room.  They have won numerous awards for their work, including those from The National Endowment for the Arts, The American Poetry Review, The Lannan Foundation, The Fund for Poetry and The Academy of American Poets.  They were born and raised in Brooklyn and now live in New Jersey, where they are the Poet Laureate of Pemberton Borough.  They have been teaching at The New School since 2005.
