Cristina Patterson

Profile

Cristina C. Patterson began her career at City College of New York, where she was assistant supervisor of ESL Learning Center and full-time faculty for 8 years. As an adjunct professor, Patterson has taught numerous ESL and English composition courses using criminology, sociology, and gender equality as themes at John Jay College of Criminal Justice for 20 years.

She has taught Business English at Katharine Gibbs School, Professional English at Hunter College, humanities at Polytechnic University, and academic graduate courses at New York City College of Technology (CUNY) and Pace University. Professor Patterson is a faculty member at The New School University for Public Engagement, The New York University School of Professional Studies, and The City University of New York. Patterson earned an MA in TESOL from New York University and a BA in Communication Art English from Maryknoll College. She was awarded Dean's List Honors for both her undergraduate and graduate studies.
