Food on the Table

Advising

Food on the Table is a social web platform that connects people through shared food identities. Users share information, tips, and skills relating to their food identities. The site builds trust within a small, niche, and like-minded community. With social media, people—especially Millenials—want to feel like part of a collective whole, but they also strive to define themselves as individuals. Food on the Table allows users to share with others and define themselves by their changing food identity. Users differentiate themselves through their food, skills, and engagement on the site. The project was developed using a design thinking approach by integrating user insights, testing, and feedback.
