You can study abroad for one semester or up to a maximum of one academic year, depending on major and location of study. If you are interested in studying abroad, please refer to the Approved Programs Page to see options available for each major.

Parsons offers three primary paths for study abroad:
Studying at Parsons Paris offers students the flexibility of taking New School courses abroad while having the opportunity to live in Paris. Please note that Parsons Paris is a small campus that offers fewer programs than Parsons New York, so opportunities to study abroad there are limited to a small number of students each semester. Parsons Paris can be an excellent option for students who have transferred to The New School.
Parsons partners with some of the best art and design institutions around the world to give our students the opportunity to study in different cultural contexts. Exchange programs are an excellent option for students who receive significant institutional support from The New School.
We also offer a number of pre-approved study abroad programs through our trusted network of study abroad providers, with whom we have an affiliation.
