Student Advisors

Nearly every program at NSSR is served by student advisors. Student advisors are NSSR students who assist fellow students in planning their programs of study, providing advice on program requirements, general information, and help with course registration. They also act as liaisons between students and faculty and participate in orientation activities for new students. Students are expected to consult their faculty and student advisors at least once each semester.

Creative Writing MFA and Creative Publishing and Critical Journalism MA students are advised by Lori Lynn Turner, the associate director of Student Affairs for these programs.

Course registration happens online in April for the summer and fall semesters and in November for the spring semester. For more information about registering for classes, please visit the University Registrar page.

New students can learn more about additional university support services, financial aid information, and more on the Student Resources page.
