Welcome to The New School for Social Research, a vibrant center of academic scholarship and public discourse. Located in New York City, we attract scholars from around the world as faculty, visitors, guest speakers, and students.
The goal of our admission process is to identify qualified, best-fit applicants for both admission and merit aid. More than 90 percent of our new full-time graduate students receive scholarships. These awards cover an average of 49 percent of tuition.

We understand that pursuing higher education requires a large financial investment. To help students meet their educational expenses, we provide various types of financial assistance, including scholarships, fellowships, assistantships, stipends, federal loans, and federal work-study.
