  • Doc Talks

Students in the Documentary Media Studies graduate certificate program participate in a variety School of Media Studies events. Central to the program is Doc Talks, a monthly event series with contemporary film and video makers, festival programmers, new media distributors, editors, composers, sound designers, and others, who engage in an intimate discussion with students about their own work and the issues and challenges faced by documentary makers today.

Visit our Docs Talks vdeo archive for recordings of past Doc Talks.

    Truth Be Told

Each year, original short films made by students in the Doc Studies certificate program are screened for the public as part of Truth Be Told, a festival showcasing Doc Studies student documentaries. The films are the products of a year of study in documentary production, history and theory.

Visit this year’s Truth Be Told festival website and browse past editions.
